Wine Cork Corkboard

Here's a simple craft to turn discarded corks into a useful corkboard. You can collect the corks yourself or you can buy them from a craft supply store.

Supplies

  • Picture frame approximately 16” x 20” or larger (glass removed)
  • 1 piece of plywood approximately 16”x20”cut to fit in the back of the frame
  • Approximately 200 corks. Enough to fit in the frame. (You can buy them or collect them.)
  • Hot glue gun.

Instructions

  1. Remove backing and glass from your frame.
  2. Cut the plywood to fit into the back of the frame.
  3. Cut corks down the middle lengthwise.
  4. Glue the corks in a herringbone pattern flat side down. (Two side by side next to two more corks placed at 90 degrees. Repeat the pattern.)
  5. Let glue dry and set. Hang and take notes to your new corkboard.
